Out with the old – In with the new.
I’m starting off this new blog, www.FitToTrade.com, with a post from my New Secret Headquarters. The old secret headquarters was a spare room in my house which I converted to an office.
For the past three years I’ve had the “luxury” of commuting only 10 seconds to the office (or as long as it takes to walk from one end of the house to the other).
I must say, it was an awesome experience not only for me, but also for my family. The feeling of my little ones running in the office, all excited and jumping up into my lap as I quickly review charts is… well… you’ll just have to try it sometime. Very cool to say the least.
I will still trade from home, but I just needed a place that I can go to and think clearly… away from the noise. A place where I can strategize and brainstorm how to make my valued Members even more successful traders.
Which brings me to my first topic on this blog.
What causes someone to be transformed into a trading All-Star, and someone else to change their behavior for only a short period?
… you know, those people who catch the trading bug, and do really well for a short period of time, but the never experience a true lasting transformation.
I’ve been fortunate to have trained and mentored hundreds of people how to trade options. Many have continued on the path to become All-Star traders.
Yet the majority fall to the way side and allow the weight and pressure of their schedule to consume them to the point that they just quit. I can’t help but wonder, why?
The Million Dollar Question is,
How can one move themselves from mere change in behavior to a total transformation?
From average to All-Star?
How is it possible for one option trader to see significant and lasting results, and another to snap back to the same ‘ol same ‘ol bad habits?
One of my goals for 2010 is to find the answers to these questions.
Maybe it’s impossible… but I am going to find out.
Maybe…. those who transform have it in their DNA to continually strive to improve, to continue to be on a quest for growth where it no longer takes effort, because being their very best has become a way of life.
… or is it those who don’t transform, don’t have a big enough reason to do it?
Maybe they’ve become so frustrated, and struggle to keep themselves motivated and become too busy to produce any lasting fruit.
Maybe they just don’t have the energy necessary to sustain them.
Could it be that they are feeding their bodies with poison, missing workouts that the body requires for high performance, or neglecting to get the proper amount of rest?
Sadly many of these people who experience change, but not transformation, begin to fail when it’s not their fault at all. Maybe they start the process depleted, stressed, and fatigued to the point that they silently sabotage themselves altogether.
I don’t know for sure, but I’m on a quest to find out… and make this decade, the decade of transformation for anyone who wants it!
Until next time,
