What’s the Purpose?
Having coached traders for the past 6 years, every now and again someone will tell me they’ve “Lost their ability to trade”.
I’ll tell you exactly what I tell them:
That’s. Impossible.
I mean, think about it: All we really do is push buttons.
Plain and simple.
A “Loss of Ability” as they call it, is really just the fear of loosing money.
Fear produces cortisol, a hormone activated by stress that acts as a defense mechanism for the body, and it will hamper the timing and execution of your trade.

And the article above says the first step to minimizing the effects of stress/cortisol on your body is:
“Eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise and plenty of sleep”
I know I talk about being physically and mentally prepared more than most traders do… and the reason for that is its impossible to accurately manage your risk without being in the proper physical state.
And managing your risk is the single most important factor contributing to your well being as a trader.
See, if you don’t learn how to manage risk and position sizing, cortisol will attack you and break you to the point that you cannot and will not pull the trigger when your plan says to.
You can’t fight whats going on inside your body!
You were designed perfectly!
